Offers turn a wanted post into a negotiation. A supplier proposes a price and message, both sides can counter in offer chat, and the post owner accepts one offer to close the deal.
Before you start
- Sign in with a profile; opening a wanted post detail page requires an account.
- Have a price in mind. Offer amounts are entered as decimal pound amounts.
- You manage offers you sent and offers you received from Settings > Content > Wanted.
Make an offer on a wanted post
- Open the Wanted hub, search or browse the discover list, and open a post.
- Review the Price range, Description, and Location, then select Make an offer.
- Enter your price, describe what you can supply in the Message field, and set Offer expires (optional) if your offer is time-limited.
- Send the offer. The post owner is notified and the post shows your offer status when you revisit it.
Negotiate, accept, or decline
- As the post owner, open Settings > Content > Wanted, select your listing, and review the Offers section.
- Open Offer chat on an offer to exchange messages, or use Send counter-offer with a new amount.
- Accept the offer you want; other pending offers on that post are declined automatically. Decline offers you do not want.
- As the offer sender, manage everything under Offers you sent in Settings > Content > Wanted: use Edit your offer to change the price, message, or offer expiry, or Withdraw to pull it back.
Expected result
Both sides see the offer history and chat thread, the accepted offer is marked accepted, and remaining pending offers on the post are declined. Withdrawn and expired offers stop appearing as pending.
Troubleshooting
- If Make an offer is missing, you may be viewing your own post; owners respond to offers instead of making them.
- If an offer update fails, check that the price is a valid amount and refresh the offers list with Refresh.
- If you cannot edit an offer, it may already be accepted, declined, withdrawn, or expired.
