Media makes products, posts, and livestreams easier to understand. Use it deliberately and avoid exposing private details.
Before you start
- Prepare images with the right crop and resolution.
- Remove private personal data from screenshots or product photos.
- Confirm you have permission to use the media.
Upload media
- Open the workflow that needs the upload: Settings > Content > Discussions for post covers, Settings > Storefront > Products for product images, or Settings > Content > Livestreams for trailers and covers.
- Choose the file.
- Wait for upload and processing to finish.
- Add alt text or caption text so members understand the media.
- Save the content and preview the public result.
Review storage usage
- Each account has a media storage allowance, and uploads across posts, products, and livestreams count toward it.
- Remove unused or replaced media from old posts, products, and livestreams to free up space.
- If an upload is rejected because storage is full, delete media you no longer need before retrying.
Expected result
The media should load reliably, fit the page, and support the user task without replacing essential written instructions.
Troubleshooting
- If upload fails, check file type, size, and network connection.
- If the crop looks wrong, prepare a new image with the intended aspect ratio.
- If media contains private data, remove it and upload a clean replacement.
