After a livestream ends, its replay becomes the source for AI-generated short clips that you review and publish yourself.
Before you start
- Turn on Save replay for the livestream; switching it off also disables discussion generation, auto shorts, and highlights for that stream.
- AI clip management requires the AI clips capability on your account.
- AI features cost credits: discussion generation, auto shorts, and manual clip extraction each have a credit rate shown in the after-stream options.
Set up replays and AI options
- Open Settings > Content > Livestreams and edit the livestream while it is upcoming.
- Keep Save replay enabled.
- Choose the after-stream options you want: discussion generation (with optional auto-publish), auto shorts, and highlights.
Create clips from a replay
- Wait for the stream to end and the replay to finish processing.
- Create AI clips from the livestream once its replay is available; auto shorts run on their own when enabled.
- Open Settings > Content > Livestreams > AI clips to see every generated clip with its status, duration, quality score, and the reason it was selected.
Review, publish, or discard clips
- Select View on a clip to preview it.
- Use Edit details on a draft or ready clip to change the title and description, then save; the title cannot be empty.
- Select Publish on a ready clip to make it public, Unpublish to take a published clip down, or Discard to remove a draft. Deleting one clip never affects the other shorts in its batch.
Expected result
Generated shorts appear on the AI clips page, published clips are visible on your Space's public clip surfaces, and discarded drafts disappear along with their rendered video.
Troubleshooting
- If the AI clips page says there are no clips yet, create AI clips from a livestream once its replay is available.
- If a clip shows a failed status, the encoding did not finish; remove it and create a new AI clip from the livestream replay.
- If after-stream options are greyed out, check that Save replay is on; everything downstream depends on it.
- If you cannot open the AI clips page, your account lacks the AI clips capability.
